DescriptionOpen GPS Tracker makes possible to store and review where you and your Android device have been. Basically you press record at the start of your trip and your phone stores the route you take. This route is drawn real-time on the Maps functionality of Android or in the background with an idle device. The route is stored on your phone for review and further use. The applications tracks location using GPS.
Open GPS Tracker consists of two parts:
- a system service that collects and stores GPS tracking data and
- a Map activity that gives control over the tracking services and displays the tracked routes on a Google map interface.
This application has been initially been developed by a group of enthusiastic people at Sogeti Nederland.
Note: App requires Donut platform. For some versions there is a separate apk installer for Cupcake.
